Company Girl Coffee: Hanging in there

We are hanging in there.  I wrote last week about needing to find patience and lacking any feelings of peace last week.  Things are all pretty much in the same state:  Grandy is still in the hospital, we still have a zillion things around the house to do, t-ball still hasn't started.  Major difference is I am feeling okay about all of it.  Things are slowly getting done.  Grandy is still in the hospital, but she is getting the care she needs.  T-ball starts this week and Gwendolyn (so far) enjoys practicing it in the backyard.  Things aren't happening fast or all better, and this all isn't to say that there hasn't been more thrown at us this week, but we are hanging in there and feeling okay about all of it.

Maggie's fortune this week read: Be careful! Straight trees often have crooked roots.  Do with that what you will I guess.

We have a big weekend planned: petting zoo in the morning then a soccer game then a 1st birthday party then a cookout then dinner out for my grandmother's birthday.  I'm kinda tired just thinking about all of it.

How are you?  Any plans for the weekend?

  1. I'm so glad to hear that you are feeling more peaceful than you were last week though the circumstances haven't really changed much. It encourages me in my life.

Yes, we have lots of plans this weekend...but they are up in the air...

  2. Patience...yes, it is definitely something I am in need of these days. I do hope that you find some peace and just rest in Him. For the weekend we just have a birthday party to attend, and that's about it. I might attempt to trim my daughter's hair too.
